This mega-cozy quilt set is adorned with embroidered, hand-drawn illustrations of hamsas from Justina’s own hamsa amulet collection from her global escapades. The hamsa, also known as the Hand of God or the Hand of Fatima, is an ancient amulet symbolizing protection, happiness, luck, health and good fortune. 

The quilt set is stone washed to get that cozy, soft feel and light, breathable weight. Because of the treatment, the fabric is a bit more thin & delicate. Color may also vary due to the nature of the material.

Annual Audits  
All of the Peking Handcraft factories pass Social Compliance audits (SMETA audits or other audits on a case-by-case basis). These audits ensure a safe and healthy working environment.

SMETA is an audit methodology that provides a compilation of best practice ethical audit techniques. It is designed to help auditors conduct high-quality audits that encompass all aspects of responsible business practice, covering Sedex’s four pillars: Labour, Health and Safety, Environment, and Business Ethics.

WORKER WELL-BEING AND CHILD-FRIENDLY SPACES
Peking Handcraft has rolled out a child-friendly space in many factories in order to provide a safe environment for children during the summer while the parent(s) works. 

This initiative also involves communication training to provide parents with the tools needed to maintain their bond throughout the school year. Peking Handcraft is actively working to roll this program out to all of their factories.

The Oeko-Tex Standard 100
The Oeko-Tex Standard 100 is a test and certification system for textile raw materials, intermediate and end products, at all processing stages that is consistent worldwide.
The tests for harmful substances include testing for legally banned and controlled substances and chemicals that are known to be harmful to health, as well as parameters serving a precautionary purpose. Peking handcraft has already implemented The Oeko-Tex Standard 100 at many factories and is actively working to get more of their factory partners certified.
